Rocca Sorrentina & Happy New Year!!

Rocca Sorrentina is a barroque style town based in the 18th century somewhere off the coast of southern Italy. Although it is a roleplay sim everyone is welcome here providing they do not interfere with rp or enter the marked private residences. The buildings on the sim are beautiful and the detail inside and out are perfect for photography - there is a picture opportunity around every corner.

{Noble} New England

A sim based upon the landscape of New England, normally full of autumnal colours but at present prettily coated with snow. Theres a lot packed into this place, from the frozen lake surrounded by nice poses for singles and couples to the church which has been converted inside into what has to be one of sl's most unique clubs to the playground area and sledging slope and so much more in between. I cant wait for winter to lift from sl so i can visit again when the rich colours of fall are restored.

Neva Sky Villi

Without doubt for me the best blogger and photographer has to be Neva Crystal (see her blog here) and she also creates some of the most stunning sims in SL too. Neva Sky Villi is one of them, a shopping district complete with art gallery, open air theatre and dock. As usual great attention has been paid to detail and textures resulting in a beautiful place to explore.

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had as lovely a Christmas day as i did with family and loved ones. I logged in tonight intending to relax on SL and explore some sims for a new post but after a long day and too much indulging i didnt wander any further than my own home. When i came back properly to SL last month i downsized my land and i have found it a challenge to get this new place right (im still not happy with it) But after taking a few pics i decided maybe i should turn off the security for a while and let others use it. So thats what im doing for the next week or so. Feel free to come hang out!

Considering the amount of psychos i have met during my time in SL the discovery of the Bates Motel (from the movie Psycho) was no great surprise. What did surprise me however was how eerie i found it. Perhaps because i was the only person there and it has been created to be very atmospheric and creepy...or perhaps because it is a combat sim and i was attacked by hoard of flesh eating zombies when i wandered into the woods :) From the Cujo style devil dog to the skeleton grandmother watching over the sim from her chair upstairs in the main house, this place captures the clasic horror movie feel perfectly!

Slightly Twisted

The Slightly Twisted sim is a beautiful romantic mix of winter wonderland and nature with lovely touches such as the very pretty atrium where couples can dance amongst the swans, a carousel and hot air ballon with poses and all surrounded by stunning snowy foliage, trees and mountains. Definately worth exploring.

When i landed at Imaginaria it immediately brought images of the land of Narnia from The Lion, The Witch & The wardrobe to mind. Beauifully designed with surreal touches and posing opportunities, this is a sim definately worth a visit and for photographers there is currently a contest to take the best pictures on the sim, details at the landing point.
